BOB SMILEY

Bob Smiley has spent the last 12 years making people laugh.  He’s been to every state except Rhode Island (come on Rhode Island, join the group!).  He’s also taken his comedy tour overseas to England, Wales, Canada as well as 3rd world countries like El Salvador, Honduras and East Kentucky!  He’s toured with Newsboys, Toby Mac, Switch Foot, Jeremy Camp and many other top Christian bands that he will not name so that people won’t think he’s a name dropper....even though he has Mac Powell’s phone number in his cell phone!

Over the past 12 years, he’s recorded 3 DVD’s, 2 CD’s, and written a book put out through Focus on the Family.  He currently stays busy writing monthly articles for Clubhouse Magazine, TC Magazine, and The Christian Beacon. In 2009 the Evangelical Press Association awarded Bob “Best Humorous Article” for his “Adventures of Average Boy” column in Clubhouse Mag.

Bob’s book, called “Growing Up Super Average: The Adventure’s of Average Boy” also went into its second printing in 2009.  The book is a comedy/devotional book for middle school kids using humor to help them learn to deal with the top 25 problems kids that age face.

It’s been said that Bob has a heart for bringing people closer to God by getting them to laugh at everyday stories and not so everyday situations. The bottom line is, Bob uses standup comedy and humor writing as a way to draw people in so he can tell them the good news of Jesus Christ!    

Bob’s role in FFN is to MC the evening and perform a stand-up comedy segment
highlighting the humor of everyday family life.
